Spencer and Ryan lived in Vegas and were friends since they were five. At the age of thirteen Ryan got a quitar as a Christmas gift and Spencer asked his parents for a drumset. This is the spark that started Panic! at the Disco.

2. Starting The Band
After practicing together for a while the two decided to join forces with schoolmates Brendon and Brent and started the band. The name was taken from a song called Panic by Name Taken.

3. Meeting Pete Wentz
After recording a few demo songs the band left comments through LiveJournal to Pete Wentz's (of Fall Out Boy), linking him to their PureVolume site. He liked their music so much that he decided to drive to Vegas and presented them to FueledbyRamen Record House who signed them under Wentz's label Decaydance and helped them record their first album.

4. Launching The First Album
On September 27, 2005 the band launched their debut album named "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out". It sold in more than a million copies.

Panic! at the Disco launched their first music video for "I Write Sins Not Tragedies." on MTV's Total Request Live on January 17, 2006.

6. Departure Of Brent Wilson
On May 17, 2006 Brent Wilson the bassist of Panic at the Disco officially left the band. His place was filled by Jon Walker, at first as a temporary replacement. But he is considered a permanent member of the band after July 3 when Walker was listed as the bassist on the Myspace profile.

7. The Bottle Incident
On August 25, 2006 at the Carling Weekend: Reading Festival Brendan Urie was hit by a bottle and collapsed to the floor. After he got back to his feet he yelled "You can't take me out!" and "Lets see how well you guys do with my left side." I know this is not a defining moment but is shure funny and memorable.

8. Winning MTV Video Music Awards!
On August 31, 2006 Panic! at the Disco won the MTV Video Music Awards! The "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" video took the Moonman for Video of the Year.

9. Lying Is The Most Fun - Video Premiere
On September 28, 2006 at MTV's Total Request Live Panic! at the Disco had the premiere of 'Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off' video.

10. This is Halloween
On October 24 Walt Disney Records will commemorate the 13th anniversary of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" by releasing a SE Soundtrack that will include Panic! at the Disco singing "This is Halloween"
